About Us

It all started with a wedding present. We received a nice album of favorite recipes, childhood photos, and family stories. Hand scripted cards by Gran, and Auntie’s scribbled notes on others, it was a treasure of family history and memories. And later, when Grandma was selecting her favorites from the recipe box to make cookbooks for the grandkids as they went off to college, the idea resurfaced. What a sweet thing to gather family heritage and gift each other. So we thought, why not make an option for folks to digitize the handwritten recipe cards and old images, and curate their own book? And, while we’re at it, let’s make it top notch - professionally designed and of a quality that will last. 

Ultimately we wanted to create a high-quality professional looking book for families and professionals to share the love of food and all that comes with it - gathering, kinship, stories, nourishment, nutrition, and good eats. We hope you find that here with us, at Thyme Cookbooks.
